Hi, I’m George Mercer, an Irish composer, sound designer and music producer, focused on scoring for film, TV, and interactive media.

I’ve built a broad portfolio for film, TV and games and I enjoy collaborating with directors and developers to serve the narrative through music and sound.

I’ve upskilled in advanced music technology, including Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, and game audio integration software such as Fmod and Wwise; my work often features large orchestral textures, live instrumentation, and immersive atmospheres.

I recently completed a Masters in Scoring for Film, TV & Interactive Media at Pulse College (2024-2025) and I’m actively collaborating on projects such as the cosy meditative foraging game, Valley of the Lost Abbey by Rucach, and independent releases such as Species of Spaces which recently screened at the Irish Film Institute.

Other recent projects include work as a music producer with artist Cat Turner who recently signed with SASP records, and esteemed spoken word poet Caoimhe Weakliam along with my own solo recording projects.
